The Slovak Business Agency (SBA) is the oldest non – profit organization for the support of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Slovakia and wants to be the first choice for Slovak Enterprises for starting and development of their business.
For more than 20 years the SBA has been supporting development and growth of Slovak SMEs to improve their competitiveness at the local, regional, national levels, on the EU market and globally both financially (through Micro loans department and also through the venture capital which is provided by a subsidiary company – Innovations and Technologies Fund) and non-financially (through specialized seminars, mentoring, workshops).
SBA identifies and analyses barriers of the business development, prepares proposals for their elimination including drafts of legal regulations, prepares proposals for the state politics and strategies that are important for SMEs and via the Ministry of Economy of the SR, as a patron of SMEs, submits them to the government.
